MA "East Central Europe: History, Politics and Culture" (Munich-Prague)
The German-Czech interdisciplinary master's programme East Central Europe: History, Politics and Culture offers students the opportunity to obtain a master's degree from both LMU Munich and Charles University in Prague. The programme in Munich is based on the MA in East European Studies and is run in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. The programme is bilingual in German and Czech. It is aimed at outstanding students with an interest in East Central Europe and very good German and Czech language skills. The aim is to train interdisciplinary regional experts who are employable on both the German and Czech labour markets.

All students spend the first year in Munich and the second in Prague. In Munich, students are enrolled in the MA in East European Studies. All students choose a major and a minor subject from the range on offer (see here). The master's thesis is jointly supervised by scholars from Munich and a Prague.
